I have received a communication from a local bike club it read's:
Hi Roy,
My name is Gary Bigg and I am the Centre Rep for the Virago Star Owners Club (despite owning a Honda Valkyrie!!).
I am writing to inform you of a Biker show to be held next year at Broxbourne Wildlife Paradise Park. It is being hosted by Hertfordshire Council (Road Safety) and the man behind it is Simon Hoggart. The Wildlife park have donated the place for the day ( April 26th 2009). It is intended that the entry fee will be £10.00 of which £5 goes to the Wildlife Trust and the other £5 goes to the newly launched Hertfordshire Air Ambulance Appeal. It is the first time that Hertfordshire have hosted a bike show and they need loads of support. I have had meetings with Simon and it would seem that he is putting together a potentially good day out. There will be the normal things like bands, trade stalls and bike safe plus the entry gives you access to the wildlife park (normal cost is £13.) There is also a speedway museum (the owner of the park is a speedway champion) Simon is looking for a capacity of 7000 visitors and is also planning for it to be an annual event.
The VSOC will have a club stand at the event and it would be great if you could also have one. As I understand it, there is no charge for club stands but the people working on the stand have to pay for the entry and bearing in mind this is all for charity, its not a bad deal.
Simon also wants as many ideas as possible for what you might like to see included in the show. I might come and see you at your next meeting if that ok. Please let me have details of date, time and venue (postcode). I hope that you feel that your club can support this exciting Hertfordshire event.

Thanks Roy
